Answers to the most common questions about buying, selling, and crowdsourcing on Priceforte.
Everything you need to know about how Priceforte works.
It's always free for shoppers. Businesses can list inventory and bid at no cost today - paid seller tools are coming later.
Local crowdsourcers submit real prices from markets they shop at, and every submission is checked against others from the same market and time window before it counts toward the average.
Open your list for bidding and nearby stores and agents quote a total, sometimes with substitutes. You compare offers and accept the one you want.
No - you arrange pickup or delivery and pay the seller directly. Priceforte doesn't hold or collect payment.
No. Bidding is sealed - a business only ever sees its own bid, never what anyone else has offered.

Nothing today. Registering your business, listing inventory, and bidding are all free - paid seller tools may come later, but nothing is charged now.
You, as the business owner, or any sales agent you've added with an active invite. Each bid is placed on your business's behalf at a price you set.

Directly from the buyer once they accept your bid and you fulfill the order. Priceforte doesn't hold or collect payment.
You can bid with substitutes for items you don't carry, or bid on only part of a list - buyers see exactly what you're offering before they accept.
Everything you need to know about becoming a Priceforte agent.
Nothing. Applying, bidding, and representing a business are all free.
To place bids, yes - you can name a business you already work with when you apply (we'll search our real business directory), or apply independently and accept an invite from a business owner later.
Once you're linked to a business, you can browse open orders in their market and place bids on their behalf, offering substitutes where useful. Bidding is sealed - you only ever see your own bid.
Priceforte doesn't process payments or agent commissions. The buyer pays the business directly once the order is fulfilled - arrange your own compensation with the business you represent.
You can be linked to more than one, and your "Businesses you represent" page lists them all - but bidding currently resolves through a single represented business at a time.

Nothing. Applying, getting approved, and submitting prices are all free.
You apply naming the markets and time windows you cover. Approval is reviewed by the Priceforte team, market by market - it isn't automatic.
